Fixträger AG relies on our high-performance coating for the new Rhenus building in Basel
The impressive steel hall of the new transhipment terminal of Rhenus Port Logistics AG in Basle was built by Fixträger AG in record time and even coated during the cold wet wintertime.
Fixträger was challenged by applying a colored corrosion protection coating in RAL 5002 ultramarine blue with a dry film thickness of 120 µm to more than 30,000 m2 of steel beams in only one operation. The tight construction schedule and the cold wet wintertime asked for a fast-drying and economical coating to enable the hall to be cleared for the next stages of work. We are delighted that our customer decided to apply our Duopol PU Steelcolor one-coat polyurethane paint.
Our fast-drying coating, combined with an optimal price-performance ratio, contributed significantly to the success of this project. However, it was not only the technical expertise but also the close cooperation with our customer that was of decisive importance: we worked closely with Fixträger AG in order to be able to react flexibly to changing deadlines. With a surface area to be coated of over 30,000 m2, precise coordination was essential and we are proud that this collaboration worked extremely well.

With Duopol PU Steelcolor, steel structures are ideally protected up to C2 h (according to ISO 12944) in one coat. And with Duopol PU Steelcolor Plus even up to C3 h. The satin mat coatings are available in all RAL and NCS colors and can be delivered within one day if they are already formulated.
