OSCA Red: How NAK-Architekten Created the Perfect Color for the Altlandsberg Secondary School Campus<\/h1>\n

Months of searching, countless samples, and a day in the Color Lab: NAK-Architekten, together with S+T Fassaden and Monopol Colors, developed a unique shade of red that unites tradition and modernity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

NAK-Architekten have been intensively searching for a very special shade of red for their ambitious project \u2013 the Altlandsberg Secondary School Campus (OSCA) \u2013 one that meets the architectural demands and the historical significance of the site. The challenge was to find a color nuance that perfectly harmonizes with the warm, earthy tones of traditional brick and masonry while possessing a contemporary, prismatic quality. The desired color was meant to subtly shift between red and orange depending on the viewing angle, thus uniting both a modern and a historical component.<\/p>\n

Despite extensive research and testing numerous color proposals available on the market, none of the existing options could meet the high expectations and specific requirements of NAK-Architekten. This led Karl-Friedrich M\u00fcller, architect at NAK-Architekten, together with Arne Fischer, project manager at S+T Fassaden, to visit the Color Lab at Monopol Colors to develop the perfect shade themselves.<\/p>\n

After an intense day of creative experiments, numerous color mixtures, and samples, the breakthrough was finally achieved: OSCA Red was born. This unique color creation, which significantly shapes the project\u2019s identity, was subsequently applied to an area of approximately 7,000 m\u00b2 at Euramax in the Netherlands. With this tailor-made shade, the completed project not only sets an aesthetic highlight but also reflects the care and passion invested in every phase of planning and execution.<\/p>\n
