In 2009 Monopol Colors started production in Mumbai. Our Indian subsidiary is specialized in industrial and coil-coating paints for use in architecture and construction. Many of the almost 100 employees have been with us since the beginning.

Continued growth necessitated the building of a new factory, which was opened in 2018 in Patalganga – roughly 50 km from Mumbai. Here, as well as geological and planning factors, Monopol also took the Indian architectural science of Vaastu into account.

Vaastu is based on theoretical, philosophical ideas and aims to create harmonious conditions and buildings and rooms. According to Vaastu principles, buildings should be constructed so that they chime with nature, rather like in Feng Shui. Aim: to promote the wellbeing of the most important asset of a company – the employees.
